Church President & Worship Leader

Rick Keffer’s life and faith are deeply woven into the story of St. Peter’s Church of Oldtown Valley.  Raised in the Valley and a member of St. Peter’s for over 50 years, Rick has grown in faith alongside the congregation he now serves. His long-standing connection to the church reflects a life shaped by Word, worship, and faithful community.

Throughout seasons of change, Rick has served as a steady and trusted leader, helping guide the congregation while honoring the church’s rich heritage and long-held traditions of worship. With a deep respect for liturgy, music, and reverent praise, he seeks to preserve the foundations of the church while faithfully stewarding its future.

As Worship Leader and Church President, Rick serves not for recognition, but out of a calling to serve Christ and His Church. His leadership is marked by humility, consistency, and a deep love for the people of St. Peter’s, ensuring that the church remains rooted in faith and ready to serve the Valley for generations to come.

Sarah Keffer

Church Administrator

Sarah Keffer serves as Church Secretary at St. Peter’s Church of Oldtown Valley, bringing dedication, organization, and a genuine love for the life of the church into everything she does.

Born and raised in New Philadelphia, Sarah grew up attending Trinity Gospel Temple in Canton, Ohio, where her faith was shaped within a large and active congregation. After marrying her husband, Sam, she began attending St. Peter’s—his lifelong church and one his family has faithfully served for generations.

As Church Secretary and Administrator, Sarah serves as the primary point of contact for St. Peter’s, overseeing day-to-day administration, communication, and coordination. She prepares bulletins, manages worship slides, and handles the many behind-the-scenes details that help ensure worship services and church ministries run smoothly. Her work reflects a heart for order, clarity, and service, supporting both church leadership and the congregation.

Sarah considers her role not simply a job, but a calling. She loves what she does and serves the church with faithfulness, creativity, and careful attention to detail—helping St. Peter’s continue its mission of worship, service, and witness throughout Old Town Valley and Tuscarawas County.

Suzanne Heter

Events Coordinator

Suzanne Heater serves St. Peter’s Church of Oldtown Valley with lifelong devotion and quiet faithfulness.

A lifetime member of both the Valley and St. Peter’s Church, Suzanne has grown up within the life of the congregation and carries a deep love for its people, traditions, and heritage. Her connection to the church is rooted in years of worship, service, and care for the little church so many call home.

As Social Committee Leader, Suzanne oversees the church calendar and coordinates gatherings and events that bring the congregation together throughout the year. In addition to her leadership in planning and scheduling, she also faithfully tends to the care and cleanliness of the church, taking great pride in maintaining the building as a welcoming and reverent space for worship and fellowship.

Suzanne’s service reflects a deep respect for the church’s legacy and a heartfelt commitment to stewardship. Through her dedication, St. Peter’s continues to be a place of order, hospitality, and care—honoring the past while serving the present needs of the congregation.
