A little help from my friends

Last Sunday, we reflected on the message “A Little Help From My Friends” from Genesis 2:18, where God reminds us that “It is not good for man to be alone.” We were reminded that isolation is poison and that God created us for relationship, support, and spiritual community. We looked at two common misconceptions—that earthly family always comes first and that we should simply follow our hearts—and compared them to biblical truth. Scripture showed us that our faith family and God’s will must come first, and that servant leadership should guide all of our relationships. We closed with Ecclesiastes 4, remembering that while two are better than one, three is best—because a cord of three strands is not easily broken when Christ is at the center.
